This was advertised as something Felicity could use to entertain Nan and William.

This also came with an envelope with information about American Girls' paper dolls:

Through the years, American girls have loved playing with paper dolls, a timeless pastime that has given them a chance to pretend and dream. Colonial girls had paper puppets that were cut out, painted, and strung together so that their arms and legs could move. They were called "jumping jacks" in England, "pantins" in France, and "fanucci" in Italy. Felicity loved to make her jumping jack dance for William and Nan.
