The Violin and Stand (also known as the Violin Set when the stand was removed, with name retained when stand was reintroduced) is a Just Like You accessory set released in 1996. Retail cost was $30 and increased to $34 and $36.
Violin[]
Plastic violin with metal strings.
Early versions of this violin were made with wood and can actually produce a sound. The wooden version was available until at least 2003.

Rosin[]
Faux rosin block in white paper wrapper. Wrapper has American Girl abbreviated logo in red.
Early versions of this set came with a real piece of rosin.

Black violin carrying case. Blue velvet lining. Later versions of the case have a place to hold the fake rosin.

A Tune A Day for Violin - Book 1. Based on an authentic music education book by the Boston Music Company, it contains instructions for how to play the violin such as how to read musical notes, drills, and practice music.

Christmas Solos for the Violin holiday music book. Contains musically composed songs for actual play.
