The True Blue Scooter and Sidecar is a Just Like You accessory set released in 2022 with a purple variant released in 2024. The blue variant retired in 2024. Retail cost for the original set was $98; new variant is $100.
Scooter and Sidecar[]
Light blue scooter with silver trim. One button turns on working headlight and taillights, another button turns on the horn, and a music button plays three songs. Black handles and black side mirrors. Faux speedometer and fuel gauge by handles. Small glovebox pops down from front of scooter. White seat with silver bars around seat. Black base for feet on floor of scooter. Silver star logo on front of scooter. "American Girl" is written in gray cursive script on the front with pink flower graphics around it. Star logos molded at center of each tire, and stars are also on the tire treads. White license plate with black text that reads "AG GIRL."
Pets fit in attached sidecar. "American Girl" is written in gray cursive script on the side with pink flower graphics around it and a pink paw print. Clear windshield attached to front of sidecar. Taillight on sidecar turns on.
Dimensions are 18" long x 12" high x 14" wide. Uses three AA batteries.
Helmet[]
Light pink helmet with a small visor. Light blue elastic strap. "American Girl" is written in blue cursive script on the side with white flower graphics around it.
Pet Goggles[]
Pink pet goggles with blue elastic.
Key and Keychain[]
Pink vinyl keychain with white American Girl logo printed on it. Silver hook with key; key can be turned in the scooter's ignition. Turning it in the ignition makes an engine starting noise.
Variants[]
The Hit the Road Scooter and Sidecar.
In 2024, a purple version of the car was released as the Hit the Road Scooter and Sidecar. Retail cost is $100. Apart from the color of the sets, the main difference is that the purple version does not come with pet goggles. The new version also uses the updated American Girl logo. New license plate reads "AG 1986" and has "Find Your Inner Star" written below it. Helmet design no longer includes a visor, and the ventilation holes are a different design than the original.
