The Street Chic Collection is a subset of the Truly Me line that launched in 2021, focused on more up-to-date urban contemporary looks.
Overview[]
The Street Chic Collection dolls debuted in March 2021 and are sold alongside (and numbered in succession with) the other Truly Me dolls before 2022, including the previous unique hair releases.
The collection is described by American Girl as "an edgier segment of the Truly Me line, featuring the latest cultural trends and fashions."[1] Each doll has a unique meet outfit which is a first for the modern line; while American Girl first released dolls into the Truly Me line with unique colored "dyed hair" in 2020 with Truly Me Dolls #86,[2] #87, and #88, these dolls were sold with the same meet outfits as other modern dolls.
The Street Chic Collection dolls, in contrast, have dolls wearing unique meet outfits that only come with each individual doll; the first three dolls share the Chic and Stylish Accessories as meet accessories. The first three outfits each share a overall red rose motif, and the dolls and accessories come in uniquely designed packaging with the Street Chic logo and colorful blue and purple paint splotches.
In 2022, a fourth doll with new meet accessories was released. With the revamp of the Truly Me Line in 2022, the dolls were somewhat depreciated; they remain available as long as supplies last.
