Renée Graef is a illustrator who has worked with American Girl for selected Historical Character books and items.
Biography[]
Renée Graef was born in Sheboygan and grew up in Greendale, a suburb of Milwaukee. She graduated from UW-Madison in 1980 with a degree in art.
Ms. Graef has illustrated several books for children, including newer Harper Collins editions of Laura Ingalls Wilder's Little House series; with regards to American Girl, she illustrated the Kirsten series, side vignettes in books, and the Paper Dolls for multiple Historical Characters. Much of Graef's work has a connection to her home state or nearby ones.
