Plaid Cape and Gaiters with the Elegant Hat and Muff.
The Plaid Cape and Gaiters were introduced to Samantha's Collection in 1988 and retired in 2008, selling out before Samantha was fully archived. The set is associated with the book Changes for Samantha. Retail cost was $22.
Cape
Black Watch tartan blue and green cape. Navy braid trim. Two slits for dolls' hands in the front sides. Navy bow at collar.
Gaiters
Blue and green gaiters. Navy ribbons. Four black buttons up sides. Elastic loops to attach under feet.
Dress Like Your Doll
The matching cape was available as the Elegant Victorian Cape for $175 with a choice between a wool or velvet version. It was phased out around 2000.
