The Nanea Face Mold was the ninth face mold created for the American Girl Doll line; it was introduced in 2017.
Characteristics[]
The face is rather similar to the Sonali Mold and Josefina Mold, though most similar to the Josefina mold. The face has a more narrow chin and noticeably larger, wider eyes than previous molds, although the eyes themselves are the same size as other 18" dolls. The chin and overall face shape is more heart shaped than the typical roundness of the cheeks seen in other face molds. The nose is broad, but not flat; the lips are slightly thinner on the top lip.
The face mold has been compared to the face molds of the WellieWishers.
The mold was originally released with brown painted eye corners and three brown painted lashes on the top and bottom of each eye. When the mold was reused for the Truly Me line, the mold was given longer rows of dark brown top and bottom eyelashes.
