One of the campers at Camp Gowonagin in Molly Saves the Day. She is an older girl and has been to Camp Gowonagin many times before Molly. She is confident, self-assured, and used to winning, but makes Molly uncomfortable and is stuck-up; Linda calls her Little Miss First Place. Molly compares her to a tall, gawky, white stork.[1] She wins the canoe race held, while Susan comes in last. During the Color War, she is made the captain of the Blue Army. She acts like a general, using military speech such as military time and calling the others "troops." Her plan to capture the flag is to head straight to the beach and leaving the others to capture the Red Team while she takes the flag. When Molly questions this, Dorinda mocks her, then says she can desert if she wants or be in the canoe with Susan. She is so confident in her plan that their team does not pack lunches, as she thinks it will only take an hour to complete the plan.
Her plan fails immediately, and all of the Blue Team but Molly and Susan are captured. Dorinda is put in a special prison on the island, so she is not freed with the others. Dorinda is the only member of the Blue Team not cheering after they win, and she is still sulking as they arrive to give the flag to Miss Butternut. However, since she was not part of Molly's plan, she does not end up with poison ivy like the rest of the team.
Miss Butternut[]

Linda giggles that Grace can't hold her needles right. After they are swept inside, Grace throws her needles down and looks ready to cry, stating knitting socks is way too hard--it was hard enough with two needles, but with three it is impossible and every stitch she makes comes undone--she will never make a whole sock.
In Changes for Molly it's stated that her father's legs were wounded in the war and he'll never walk again.
She is in the play "Molly's Teammates".

After the Blue Team is freed by Molly's plan, she speaks up to say that Dorinda was put in a special captain's prison as the leader, separate from the others, and must still be back on the island. She also asks who should be the leader and, when Susan says it should be Molly and why, agrees.
