Joyce Albright is the mother of Julie Albright.

Personality and Facts

Joyce Albright, as of the start of Meet Julie, has recently divorced her husband Daniel. She and her daughters move into an apartment above the secondhand shop she owns, Gladrags. Her motivation to seek divorce was her and Daniel's conflicting ideas of what women should do for a family; he would have preferred she remain a housewife, while she wanted to seek a career. Unlike Julie and Tracy, she has tumbling brown hair.

She is hardworking, motivated, and artistic and creative like Julie.

As a child, Joyce lived on a farm in Santa Rosa with her parents and was fond of horses. When she was Julie's age, she and her parents moved to France for a year. She believed she wouldn't make any friends, in part because she could barely speak French. She made her first friend when a girl complimented her dress and Joyce evenetually realized ta robe est belle meant "your dress is pretty" (rather than to rub a bell). She also went to see the Eiffel Tower in person. [1]
