(commonly known as Gap and stylized as GAP), is an American-based worldwide clothing and accessories retailer headquartered in San Francisco, California and founded in 1969 by Donald and Doris Fisher. The company operates four primary divisions: Gap (the namesake banner), Banana Republic, Old Navy, and Athleta. As of 2024 it is the largest specialty retailer in the United States.

In 2024, in partnership with American Girl, the company released the Gap Star Hoodie Outfit. The outfit is not available in American Girl Place stores.
Children's clothing that coordinated with the doll outfit and outfits based on the American Girl star logo were also released through the GAP site and available in select retail stores, as well as the doll-sized outfit.
