Trivia[]
- A maximum of 5,000 individually numbered dolls were produced.
- Customers could buy a maximum of 3 dolls per order.
- No refunds, returns, or exchanges will be honored.
- The doll was exclusively available to Berry level AG Rewards members and Barbie Signature members (through Mattel Creations) for its first 24 hours of sale (starting at 6 am on November 30th) and was later available to all purchasers as a preorder intended to last until until December 14th. However, preorders sold out on December 1, the first day orders were open to the general public.
- Through Mattel Creations, the doll preorder could be bundled with a one-year Barbie Signature membership.
- The doll is only sold in the United States and cannot be shipped to Canada.
- The doll is intended to evoke the design of the first released Barbie doll in 1959. Notably, a line of Barbie dolls with bendable legs released in 1965 are called the American Girl Barbie Doll by Barbie collectors (the official term used by Mattel was the Bendable Leg Barbie).
- This is the first American Girl doll to come with painted nails.
- This is the first American Girl Collector doll to be a made-to-order doll. The pre-orders for the doll began in November 2023 and quickly sold out, and the dolls were expected to ship by November 2024 but began shipping by September 2024.
- American Girl advertised that the swimsuit has 455 Swarovski crystals on it; this is the most crystals on an American Girl Collector line doll to date. The American Girl Holiday Collector Doll, Boho Chic Collector Doll, Fuchsia Feathers Collector Doll, and Sweet as a Rose Collector Doll were each promoted as having several thousand crystals in their designs; however, these dolls were not available in large quantities and were high-level purchases (and all but the first were sold at auction). They also were not part of the American Girl Collector line.
