Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni is an author for the Girls of Many Lands series.
Biography[]
Divakaruni was born in Kolkata, India. She received her master's degree in English from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, and her doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley. She has lived in Illinois, Ohio, and Northern California. She currently lives in Houston, Texas, and is a professor of Creative Writing at the University of Houston.[1]
