Carpetbag.
The Carpet Bag (also known as Kirsten's Carpetbag) was introduced to Kirsten's Collection in 1987(?) and retired in 2009 with Kirsten's archival. It is associated with the book Changes for Kirsten. Retail cost was $18.

Floral-patterned carpetbag in muted reds, yellows, and blues and green leaves on a black background. Upper long edges of bag opening are finished with a wide strip of dark brown "leather"; narrow loop handles and tab-in-slot latch of same material. Latch and handles are held on by means of round brass studs.
Trivia[]
- Early versions (and perhaps later as well) had a "Made in Philippines" tag sewn inside without a Pleasant Company or American Girl sticker or tag.
