Apron Dress and Daisy Wreath, 2024 version.

The Apron Dress and Daisy Wreath (also known as Kirsten's Birthday Outfit and Kirsten's Apron Dress) was introduced to Kirsten's Collection in 1987 and retired in 2009 with Kirsten's archival before being rereleased in 2024. It is associated with the book Happy Birthday, Kirsten!. Retail cost was $20 and increased to $22 and $28; the cost is $55 for the 2024 rerelease.

The 2024 rerelease includes a copy of Happy Birthday, Kirsten!.


Pink small-check gingham cotton day dress. round high collar neckline. Short puffed sleeves with elastic gathering, white corded ribbon bows on sides, and white narrow rickrack trim sewn so only points peek out. Skirt and bodice are gathered to thin waistband. Velcros up center back.



Apron Dress and Daisy Wreath with Kirsten's Two-Tone Boots, first version.

White cotton pinafore-like apron. Top has curved Y-shaped front with wide straps over shoulders that connect to back of thin waistband; skirt is gathered to waistband and curves up at back. Bodice and skirt hem are trimmed with white narrow rickrack so that only points peek out of edges. Single white button over center back closure. Velcro closure at center back of waistband.


Tan ribbed socks.


Daisy-trimmed head wreath. Main body is green-floral wire that is decorated with attached daisies and plant leaves to resemble an organic daisy-chain wreath. Back center has pink ribbon attached and tied in a bow.


Only included in the 2024 rerelease. These are a re-release of the Two-Tone Boots.


The 2024 rerelease set includes a pamphlet titled "Celebrate Birthdays!" that has "Special Collector's Editions" written below it. The format matches the style of the original parchment cover books and has illustrations of Kirsten, Addy, and Josefina on the front, as all three characters were part of the rerelease. The inside of the pamphlet describes Kirsten, Addy, and Josefina's birthday stories and has an image of each character in their birthday outfits.

Starting in 1988, a child-sized outfit was sold:

  • Springtime Dress: $115
  • Spring Wreath: $40
  • Prairie Boots, available in black or red: $55 (later increased to $68)

These were phased out in 2000.
