Addypatterns

Addy's Patterns.

American Girl Patterns were sewing patterns released by American Girl. These were intended for use by skilled tailors to make doll clothes and some children's outfits based on American Girl clothing.

These were phased out in 1998 and all are now retired.

Doll Clothes

The first doll clothes patterns were released for Kirsten, Samantha, and Molly in 1991 as part of the Portfolios of Pastimes. Felicity, Addy, and Josefina had their patterns released around the same time as their debuts. All of them were phased out in 1998 or 1999. This was presumably to steer people towards purchasing manufactured clothes instead of making them. The ones available were:

Children's Clothes

When child sized outfits were available for the Historical outfits, eight sets of dress patterns were released, allowing skilled tailors to sew some of the historical life-sized outfits. These were out for a small period in 1990. The following were available at a cost of $9.95 each:
