The American Girl Mystery Puzzles are a set of four puzzles based on the first four released Historical Character Mysteries, released in 2005 and later retired. Retail cost was $16.95.
Puzzles[]
Four 300-piece puzzles, based on the following books:
- The Silent Stranger (Kaya'aton'my)
- The Curse of Ravenscourt (Samantha Parkington)
- Danger at the Zoo (Kit Kittredge)
- A Spy on the Home Front (Molly McIntire)
The puzzles are initially packaged in self contained bags, and the back of the puzzles are colored with each character's then-designated color: light blue for Kaya, maroon for Samantha, light teal for Kit, and dark blue for (Molly).
The puzzles, when assembled, show the cover image of each image (with no text) and the character's name in script. There are also glow in the dark accents that show a word and highlight an aspect that help give the answer to the correlated mini-mystery in the booklet.
The puzzles are 15" by 20" when completed.
Booklet[]
A sixteen page booklet of four short "mini-mysteries". These contain short summarized events from each book referenced, along with the solutions at the back. The contents are:
- "Mystery in the Monkey House", a Kit Mini Mystery
- "The Secrets of the Shed", a Molly Mini Mystery
- "Dangerous Tracks", a Kaya Mini Mystery
- "The Dark Stairway," a Samantha Mini Mystery
The solutions to each mystery are listed upside down on the back page.
Costco Set[]
The puzzles were also packaged in Costco bundles with one of the four highlighted books included.
